Where We Provide Care

Body Craft Massage Therapy provides off-site care in most areas of Manhattan, with select availability in Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.

The feasibility of off-site care is determined by location, travel time, and practitioner availability. Depending on the location or appointment time, an additional travel fee may apply and will be discussed before an appointment is confirmed.

Private residences and workplaces: Off-site care may be provided in private homes, apartments, and workplaces when the treatment space meets our off-site care requirements.

Hospitals, inpatient and residential care facilities: Care may be available when permitted by the facility. Clients or their representatives are responsible for confirming that an outside practitioner may provide treatment on-site.

Hotels and temporary residences: Off-site care may be arranged for clients staying in NYC, subject to location and practitioner availability.

Treatment locations must be reasonably accessible by public transportation. When car service is necessary for the practitioner to reach the treatment location, the client is responsible for the associated transportation costs.

Requirements for Off-Site Appointments

To provide safe, effective care outside of our clinic, the off-site location must include:

  • A height-adjustable massage table (except for hospice care)

  • A stable chair for practitioner use, such as a dining chair or massage stool

  • Enough clear space around the massage table for the practitioner to move freely and work safely

  • Access to a bathroom for handwashing and practitioner use

  • A clean, reasonably temperature-controlled environment

  • Reasonable privacy for the client during the appointment

  • Pets secured away from the treatment area, as needed, to allow for safe, uninterrupted care

Please note: BCMT practitioners do not transfer or assist clients in transferring between a bed, chair, wheelchair, or massage table. If transfer assistance is needed, a family member, caregiver, or other appropriate support person must be available to assist before and/or after the appointment, as needed.

If the client does not have a massage table, or is unable to purchase one, a limited number of BCMT treatment tables may be available for rental for planned, ongoing care. Massage table rental is not available for a single off-site appointment. See Massage Table Rental details below.

Massage Table Rental

Eligibility: Table rental is available only for planned off-site care of 3 or more treatments within a 4-week period.

Rental period: Up to 4 weeks

Table rental: $300, including delivery and retrieval service. This fee does not include transportation of the table.

Transportation: Client is responsible for the cost of car service to transport the table to and from the treatment location.

Table location & use: The table must remain at the same treatment location for the duration of the rental period. It may not be moved between residences, offices, or other locations and is reserved exclusively for use during BCMT treatments.

Massage table rental requires acceptance of BCMT's Massage Table Rental Agreement before delivery.

For clients receiving hospice care: Treatment may be provided in a bed or other safe, appropriate setting; a massage table is not required.
